October 2005 found a lot of activity at our dock in Kinsale, VA.  Lou and Jean Wayne's MK-I Sloop PIKA had resided at our dock since returning from their 2nd Bahamas cruise in 2004.  Also, Geoff and Bunkey Cunliffe's "new" boat, a Lagoon 410, which recently replaced their Alberg 37 MK-II Yawl THE EVERDEN, was at our dock since early spring while her owners sailed their Alberg to Toronto where she was subsequently sold.  Additionally, Wallace and Laura Gouk's ISLE OF SKYE, a 1975 C&C Trawler (bet you didn't know that C&C built a trawler - the only one built), also arrived during this time.  Seems that Wallace is a marine surveyor certified by Canada to perform "admeasurement" surveys, and Geoff had made arrangements for Wallace to do the admeasurement survey on their newly-acquired Catamaran at our dock in Kinsale.  As the old saying goes, "There's always room for one more".

There was a lot of activity at our dock and surroundings for the 10 days or so that these cruisers were making final preparations for getting underway.  Wallace and Laura even had a new grand daughter born in Ontario while they were at our dock.  They rented a car and made a quick trip to to Canada to see the new baby named "EMILY" before continuing their Cruise to the Bahamas.

Currently, PIKA is in Green Turtle Cay, PARTY OF TWO is at George Town, and ISLE OF SKYE is in Great Sale Cay.  (SHEARWATER is wintering over at the dock in Kinsale)
